Build quizzes that behave the way your assessment needs them to. Four question types, randomized draws from a question pool, timed windows, attempt limits, and four grading methods, with manual grading and a results release step when a human has to make the call.
Single choice, multiple choice, text entry, and file upload. Every question carries a title, a rich-text body, and its own mark value. Choice questions can shuffle their answer options per learner and can use images as the answer options. Multiple choice grades with partial credit, and a wrong selection subtracts a proportional share of the question's marks, so guessing every box does not score full marks.
Set a time limit in minutes, an open and close window so the quiz is only available when you want it, and an attempts limit where zero means unlimited. Choose whether learners can move freely between questions or must answer sequentially. Choose which attempt counts with one of four grading methods: highest grade, average grade, first attempt, or last attempt. Decide whether learners see their results, and whether marks are hidden.
Switch on randomization to shuffle the question order, and set a question limit to draw a random subset from a larger bank. Load thirty questions, serve ten, and every learner sits a different paper from the same pool. The platform will not let you publish a quiz whose pool is smaller than the number of questions you asked it to draw.
Text entry questions can be set to exact match for automatic marking, or to manual evaluation when the answer needs a human read. File upload questions are always graded manually. Instructors work through attempts, override marks per question, and then release results as a deliberate step, so a whole cohort's grades appear at once rather than trickling out. Attempts export to CSV, and the export includes your visible user profile fields as columns.
Run graded coursework and end-of-module exams under real conditions: a scheduled window, a time limit, sequential navigation, and one attempt. Manual grading with a release step means an entire class sees their results at the same moment.
Assess candidates from a maintained question bank rather than a fixed paper, so no two candidates sit the same set. Attempt limits and timed windows give the examination the controls a credential has to be able to defend.
Build a large question bank once and serve endless practice papers from it with randomized draws and unlimited attempts. Switch grading to highest grade for practice mode, and to first attempt for the mock exam that counts.
Randomized order plus a random draw from a larger question bank.
Time limits, open and close windows, and attempt limits.
Manual grading, per-question overrides, and a results release step.
