Weight your course by what actually matters. Allocate credits to individual lessons and quizzes, let learners earn them as they work, and turn the total into a grade and a certificate automatically.
Every lesson and quiz in a course can be given a credit value from 0 to 100. A short orientation video might be worth 2, the final assessment 40. Items you leave at zero still have to be completed for progress, but they do not affect the evaluation. You can also tag each item with an assessment focus type, a label your organization defines, so you can later report on how a group performs across different dimensions of a program rather than one blended number.
How credits are earned depends on the item. A quiz awards credits in proportion to the marks scored, so 70 percent on a 20-credit quiz earns 14 credits. A SCORM or HTML5 lesson awards them in proportion to the score the package reports. A video, article, or live lesson is all or nothing: full credits at completion, none before. The rules are consistent and visible, so a learner can always see where their total came from.
Across the course, the platform tracks total credits earned against total credits allocated and derives an earned credits percentage. You define grade boundaries for the course as named bands over non-overlapping percentage ranges, such as Pass, Merit, and Distinction. A learner's percentage places them in a band, and each band can be attached to a different certificate template.
A learner's enrollment completes automatically when they finish the course, or, where credits are allocated, when their earned credits percentage lands in one of your grade bands. Credit allocations are snapshotted per learner at the time they earn them, so changing the weighting of a lesson next term does not silently rewrite the grades of everyone who came before.
Weight a module the way your academic policy already describes it: coursework at one value, the final assessment at another. Grade boundaries map the result onto the classification language your institution already uses.
Track continuing education credits against the activities that carry them, and use assessment focus types to show that a candidate covered every required dimension rather than compensating for one with another.
Weight the full mock exam far above the practice drills, so a student's headline number reflects exam-condition performance and not how many warm-up sets they completed.
Credits from 0 to 100 on every individual lesson and quiz.
Earned credits place learners into your named grade bands.
Allocations are snapshotted, so past grades never change.
